Hinton Park is set in 14 acres and is surrounded by mature woodland.
Although many of the trees that have been planted following burials are
young and small in size, the huge mature trees provide a wall of woodland
around the whole burial ground. The woodland includes a Bluebell Wood. The
burial ground area will eventually become new woodland and will continue to
support an abundance of wildlife in a natural habitat.
Wildlife
Hinton Park is home to a variety of wildlife (deer, rabbits, foxes, etc.)
and birds (woodpeckers, fieldfares, kestrels, etc.).
Bluebell Wood
Enhancing the natural beauty of the Park is a mature woodland on the
boundary. This is at its best in May when the bluebells are out and the
wood is a carpet of blue.
Shetland Ponies
A group of Shetland ponies occupy a large field next to the burial ground.
The Shetland ponies are very friendly towards people and will come right
up to the fence to meet visitors.
